All in all, a good day for eating right. Did some exercises before my shower tonight, played a little WoW, and then some light reading in bed. I feel really good about today and even the snack I had while watching heroes. I weighed a lot of choices when picking dinner tonight. I was torn between Panda Express and Chipotle, going with the choice I did I had a full meal and was very satisfied. The Cheetos were just a treat for still coming in under goal and allowing my self to keep my momentum going.

After trying to write up my total from my notepad I realized I had over looked a couple sections I meant to put figures for or just ingredients I had forgotten about, such as margarine. I give myself enough of a buffer so I do not have to feel bad about these dumb little mistakes. So why now when I write this up am I getting so angry at myself for leaving out these details? I set my limit at 3000. That accounts for 400 more calories that I can misjudge across the board per day and still be at my extreme weight loss. This is just more reason why I am doing this. It allows me time to self evaluate and realize where I need to change. I know the typical reaction is everyone makes mistakes. I do not wish to have the option to make mistakes anymore. I will achieve this goal and nothing will stop me. Not even my miscalculation can stand in the way. Before I shower tonight its push up and jack knifes to at least alleviate a little bit of this over eating frustration. Tomorrow is once again another day I can take control of and own my eating habits.

Today was semi busy. A little running up to my parents then to Eden's for dinner. I got something written down for everything but I had to try and make some up. So it may look like I starved myself, but I am mostly making up for what I am sure to be a lack of judgement on values given.

I am positive that is way to low. I should have done more research and tried to find out more. I am mostly cutting my calories lower because I do not believe I am off by more than 500 calories so a little buffer room was necessary. Good to know I can listen to my stomach even when I do not know exactly what I am eating. I tried to keep everything I ate to taster portions to not exceed any major calories on any dish, which satisfied my taste buds and eventually my stomach.

Today was a semi-lazy day. Had to go pick up my plates from the dealer for my car then ran to Target to look into the exercise ball I want. The reebok one I found was burst-proof. Got it home and read the warning: Burst-proof up to 250 pounds. So I am returning it.

The snacks and desserts were another story. Onward to tomorrow.

Not to shabby in my book. The only time I felt really hungry was on the way home from work. So all in all a good day.

I did discuss exercise with my boss today who runs in his free time. I think I am going to pick up a 20 dollar fitness ball from Target. Doing a bit of research I found a 75cm ball which will work for my height that has an Anti-Burst rating of 600 lbs, more than enough to support me on it. Makes me happy to find a cheap workout tool that will help me accomplish some goals.

I did take some advice and I did a few push-ups today. I did like 5, then I was done, so I did weak push-ups on my knees. I got through about 15-20 of those. Then some jack knifes and stomach crunches. Hopefully this will all work to my advantage soon. I already feel a little better about myself and really feel like I can move more again.

After some talk and discussion in the office today with a couple co-workers the 1700 calorie day probably did not help me much in my goals. If anything it probably put my body into a starvation mode, which might explain the headaches this evening (or that I forgot to take my multivitamin this morning).

From the research I did yesterday with the whole 3400 calories for EXTREME!!! weight loss and my past using 44 points in weight watchers (roughly 2200 calories without any fat). I have decided to keep my calories between 2500 and 3000 calories per day. I figure having a range will be healthy and give me a benefit of having "bad" days. I figure this way I will shoot for 2500 no less. If I am below my point then I will enjoy a snack of some sort. If I am at 2500 lets say bad lunch Saturday, then I have the ability to not go insane and still have a decent snack. The way I figure it I need a little tolerance. Even electronics have tolerance why shouldn't humans. Today I am just barely over my floor count so I am content. I plan on heading to bed and putting this headache to rest. Tomorrow is another day I get to be in control of my own habits.

Oh the Sunday. Usually the day I like to not leave the apartment and just melt into relaxation to prepare for the coming week. I think I did fairly well today and treated my self to a snack while watching "The Next Iron Chef".

Holding myself accountable to this list I am posting is really helping me to make better decisions on what I eat and do not eat. I know all I have is my word, but I have listed everything I have personally consumed on this blog so far. No sneaks or just a bite of this and I will not write it down. This is a complete list and with Day 3 behind me, this is getting easier to manage what I want and do not want to be eating. 1705 calories means I might have lost some weight today. I know I use more than 2000 calories a day. According to freedieting.com when I put in my stats I burn 3692 Calories/day. Extreme fat loss is listed at 3400. I hope my eating half of that will not disrupt me too much. Only the future shall see. Alright off to bed and more tomorrow. With a fresh Monday at work it will be on the top again to watch my eating and no snacking on the treats we just have laying around.

Went to Target and the Market today after lunch. Stayed home and played some WoW all afternoon till now actually. Had a craving early due to Jacki not being home to eat half a bag of Hot Cheetos and watch some TV, but I held back and whew now I feel better.

The General Idea

My goal is to post this blog to help myself lose weight I have been trying to lose for a couple years now. The basic concept is to list what I eat on a day to day basis. Items which I know the calories I will post also with a format I have made for myself. Weight Watchers uses a combination of calories, fat and dietary fiber to determine the point values. I might get back into points at some time, but for now I am just more interested in the actual values. My format will be calories, fat, dietary fiber. For example the Oatmeal I eat every morning at work is 160, 2, 3. This equates to 160 calories, 2 grams of fat, and 3 grams of dietary fiber. This system works for me and makes keeping track of numbers easy so I can post them later.

The reason I have titled this blog "Shrek to Jolly Green" is in reference to two nicknames I have had somewhat recently. My co-workers typically use the Shrek analogy to describe me, which I realize is not to poke fun at my weight but more my height (6' 8"). In my mind I think of Shrek as orgeish and do not want to look like that. Jolly Green is what my Father uses to descirbe my height. Since the Jolly Green giant is a giant muscular fit "guy", that will be base for my wishful thinking.

I will attempt to write down everything I eat or drink, including the water amounts I consume. I have not figured out an exercise plan yet, once I do it will be incorperated in a post in some way. My plan is to get a little notebook to keep my daily logs, as of now I have a piece of paper. With that I will make my first post tonight after I tally dinner into my equations. Here's to weight loss, and hopefully a lot of it.
